Flexible Payments
Payment for the course can be paid in up to three installments. A deposit is required to secure your first lesson.

Lesson Plan
01
Course Introduction and aims
This session we will recite topics from the beginners course to ensure you are ready for sessions ahead.

Music equipment Set up
How to safely assemble your dj decks, mixer and laptops / USB to enable the system is ready for use. You will also analyse all the functions of your chosen dj equipment, we ensure you will know how every function works.

DJ Change over
Changing over DJs at Gigs is an area that could disrupt the flow of a party, if the transition isn’t smooth. Wright’s Academy Tutors will teach you how to avoid common mishaps you could encounter and how to troubleshoot.

instrumental Beat matching
You will focus mixing instrumentals in a range of different bpms and genres.

Instrumental and Vocal mixing
This session is focused on mixing instrumental beats with Vocals (All in the same bpm range) to improve song structure knowledge and improved timing when mixing

Loop Mix
We have structures a loop mix which incorporates all song structure knowledge (Beginners course) such as Length of Intro’s, finishing a mix (drop points) and when / where to begin a new mix. (Multi Genre).

Cue point drops
You will learn how to set cue points on songs, which then can be used to cut into a beat or vocal that will enhance the quality of your mix.

Mix challenge
You will be given a two playlists that have different bpm ranges to mix one at a time. Playlists include instrumentals, Vocals (Acapella) and chart classics. Your task is to be able to perform mixes using all songs covering the topics from weeks 4-5-6-7. We will guild when required if you encounter any problems.

Playlist construction
You will now make a playlist of your chosen genre and bpm for your final mix recording in week 10.

Final Mix Recording and course evaluation.
Time to show the world all the new skills and mixing techniques you have learnt over the course assisted by your course tutor. You will receive analysis on areas you excel in as well as areas of improvement. You will receive your mix via email the same day.
