After School Clubs

Music

Through weekly individual and group DJ tasks, our after school sessions develop skills in the basic building blocks of music from pitch, tempo, different music styles and music technology.

 

We visit a wide variety of settings providing engaging and challenging DJ sessions for children, demonstrating clear progression whilst fully supporting all areas of the music curriculum. Sessions can take place before school, at lunch time or after-school and is suitable for all Key Stages.

There is substantial evidence of the effectiveness of music in aiding learning. For young children in particular, music can be extremely valuable in enhancing personal, social and educational development. Our expert teachers base their plans on the relevant Key Stages of the Music Curriculum throughout all sessions.

End of Term Performance 

As part of our After School DJ Club children have the opportunity to perform in front of their peers, showcasing their new skills.

Sport

We can cater sports clubs to the specific needs of your school, clubs will be professionally run and organised by the same sports coach each week.

Clubs will run for a minimum of an hour on the designated day of your choice. Children will be collected and the end of the school day in a calm and professional manner. We at Wrights Academy have a strong belief that children in our care will have fun in a calm and structured, educational environment.

We can organise clubs from beginners to gifted and talented, take charge of school teams in Borough competitions

throughout the academic year. 

​

The same staff member will ALWAYS lead the sessions, this helps establish themselves with the children at the same time as becoming part of the school system.

​

Prior to each session, coaches will request that they are informed on the school systems on approaches for positive rewards

alongside sanctions regarding discipline, we feel this limits the disruption of regular systems to children. 

​
